I can’t
believe it. Where did winter go? Spring is here and that means
wind for kiteflying! Here are three kiteflying activities
in which we participate. Do join us for more LK fun.
1. Fun
Fly at Rockaway Beach, Oregon, May 17-18, 2008. Sponsored
by the Rockaway Beach Chamber of Commerce, we are joining
Associated Oregon Kiteflyers for their arts and crafts festival.
We’d love to put some color on the beach for them and
make this into an annual event.
2. Washington
State International Kite Festival (aka WSIKF), August 18-24,
2008.
Lady Kiteflyers compete on Camp Day as “Crazy Ladies”
for fun and banner raising honors. Meet us near our Lady Kiteflyer
arch before 9:00 AM on August 19, 2008 to sign up for a day
of laughs and fun. For our newcomers, this is an opportunity
to fly lots of different kites and to meet everyone.
3. Dieppe,
France beckons a small contingent of us this year. Held Sept.
5 -14, 2008, we are making reservations now. Let mirnate@aol.com
